Voyeur în orașul meu
Trecînd pe străzi
Am fost singură
În spatele pareților în interiorul bucătăriilor
Căutînd secrete
De negăsit
Lăsată fără foame
Gust al goliciunii

În lucrarea sa, Meldy Maria pune accent pe utilizarea narațiunii din propria experiență, conversațiile auzite întîmplător în stradă și fragmente recuperate din cărțile găsite, pentru a evidenția și parodia cu adevărat noțiunile romantice tradiționale.

Passing streets
Was I alone
Behind walls inside kitchens
Searching for secrets
Never to be found
Left without hunger
Taste of emptiness

In her work Meldy Maria focuses on the use of narrative from her personal experience, random conversations overheard in the street and found footage from books, to highlight, and indeed parody, traditionalistic romantic notions.
