Monument pentru un Cîine Comunitar de Martin ZET [CZ] și Laboratorul de arhitectură MIEZ (Ina BOROZAN și Andrei VATAMANIUC) [MD] – prezentare

Colina Pușkin, Chișinău (intersecția străzilor Colina Pușkin și Bună Vestire)
În cadrul programului de rezidență artistică CHIOȘC, artistul ceh Martin ZET împreună cu Ina BOROZAN și Andrei VATAMANIUC (membrii Laboratorului de arhitectură MIEZ, au elaborat dintr-un material provizoriu o machetă 1:1 a Monumentului pentru un Cîine Comunitar, care urmează a fi instalată joi, 5 mai 2016, cu începere de la ora 18:00 în scuarul Colina Pușkin, care se află în Chișinău, la intersecția str. Colina Pușkin cu str. Bună Vestire.
Instalarea machetei are drept scop prezentarea conceptului monumentului și lansarea unei platforme de discuții despre tema animalelor fără adăpost din Chișinău. La discuție vor participa autorii proiectului.
Lucrarea a fost concepută sub forma unui mesaj critic adus societății antropocentrice, din care rezultă și forma sa estetică – un cap de cîine urcat pe un pedestal, după modelul monumentelor dedicate unor personalități de vază, instalate la indicația autorităților, pe care le găsim deja în oraș – gîndită astfel încît să-i confere puterea nu doar pentru a sensibiliza locuitorii privind problema animalelor fără adăpost, dar și de a schimba modul de percepere a animalelor în sine, ființe similare nouă.
Datorită faptului că problema animalelor fără adăpost va fi „plasată” pe un pedestal, aceasta îi va conferi importanța necesară în vederea obținerii unei vizibilități mai mari. Prin aducerea în discursul public a problemei animalelor fără adăpost, monumentul face indirect trimitere și la problema oamenilor străzii, care sunt adesea asociați cu imaginea unui cîine, iar poziționarea sculpturii la nivelul ochilor conferă demnitate oamenilor și animalelor străzii laolaltă, anihilînd privirea dominantă a omului care-i privește de sus în jos.

Памятник общественной собаке

Пушкинская горка (ул. Colina Pușkin / Bună Vestire, Кишинев)
В рамках творческой резиденции CHIOȘC (programului de rezidență artistică CHIOȘC) чешский артист Мартин ЗЕТ вместе с Инной БОРОЗАН и Андреем ВАТАМАНЮК (членами Архитекторской лаборатории MIEZ) выполнили предварительный макет 1:1 памятника общественной собаки, который должен быть установлен в четверг, 5 мая 2016, в 18:00 в сквере Пушкинской горки. Установкой этого макета художники представляют концепт памятника и запускают платформу обсуждений о бездобных животных Кишинева. В обсуждении примут участие авторы проекта.
Работа была задумана в форме критического послания антропоцентрическому обществу, из чего вытекает и эстетическая форма памятника: собачья голова на пьедестале, по типу памятников выдающимся личностям, установленным в городе по указке властей. Памятник выполнен специально так, чтобы указать жителям на проблему бездомных животных, а также чтобы изменить отношение к животным в общем.
Благодаря тому, что проблема бездомных животных будет воздвигнута «на пьедестал», это сделает тему более заметной. Тема уличных животных одновременно будет напоминать и о проблеме бездомных людей, которых часто ассоциируют с собаками. Установление памятника на уровне глаз придает достоинства как уличным животным, так и бомжам, сводя таким образом на нет высокомерие, с которым обычно смотрят на этих существ.

Памятник общественной собаке выполнен в партнерстве с примэрией Муниципия Кишинэу, проект поддержан Чешским Культурным центром в Бухаресте и Европейским Культурным Фондом в рамках проекта Collective Action for the Commons.

In the frame of the KIOSK artist-in-residence program, the Czech artist Martin ZET, together with Architecture lab MIEZ (Ina BOROZAN and Andrei VATAMANIUC ), developed the model of a Monument for a Community Dog. This model will be presented on Thursday, May 5th 2016 at 6 pm at Colina Pushkin Square in Chisinau, on the intersection of str. Colina Pushkin and str. Bună Vestire.
During this event the concept of the Monument for a Community Dog will be presented and there will be a platform for discussion about the condition of street animals in Chisinau. The authors of the project will participate in the discussion.
The artwork was conceived as a critical message directed towards our anthropocentric society, from which resulted its aesthetic form of a head of a dog that is stepped on a plinth, in a similar fashion to the monuments dedicated to renowned people that are commissioned by the local authorities. The Monument itself aims to sensitize people on the issue of street animals and also to change our perception of the animal itself – as beings that are just like us.
The problem of homeless animals will be thus “placed” on a pedestal, offering importance to this issue and making it more visible. The Monument makes an indirect reference to the issue of homeless people who are often associated with the image of a stray dog, while positioning the sculpture at eye level dignifies the homeless people and stray animal and disrupts the dominant top-down position of humans.
